Brain Training Report – Donna – Session 1

Session number: 1

Average n-back: 3

Duration (estimate in minutes): 30 minutes

This was my first session. It took a round of practice before I got the gist of the exercise. My working memory is really bad but I compensate for it with organization and a high aptitude for critical thinking. Would you say it makes sense to stay at a level until I can go through the 20 blocks cleanly?

Does 30 minutes of training with a before and after meditation make sense?

Thanks

Donna

    Hi, Donna.

At Stages 1 and 2 you do have the option of staying at a level, but I would urge you to push yourself and try to move up a level on a few blocks, even if it puts you out of your comfort zone.

The training works by stretching and building your focus and working memory. This inevitably takes an exertion beyond our day to day use of these functions. (Emphasizing this, at Stages 3 and 4 the program takes over and moves you up and down through the levels according to your scores and without giving you the option to stay where you are.)

The training is designed for one full session per day, four or five days per week. Before and after meditation is excellent. If you only have time for one, meditate beforehand.

    Best wishes,
    Martin
