This wacky performance can’t continue for long, of course, so I may as well enjoy it while I can! As usual, I have no explanation for this jump — from a new high of 9.35 yesterday to a score of 10.15 today. The doubled sessions do seem to have been making quite an impact. And perhaps there is something about switching back and forth between regular dual n-back and “nines.”
Well done, Martin, hitting a double digits average has to feel good.
I think the double sessions may be an explanation but who knows.
Given this drastic jump, though, I’d be curious what anecdotal positives you are experiencing as far as real life functioning…
Today I matched a 7.95 personal best, but irritated I couldn’t hit 8 again!
I cannot complain though because I’ve not been playing dual n back that much…only 2-3 times a week in the last month or so (as maintenance).
I might up my play though to see if I can get a jump like you’ve had.
Hi, Will.
Thanks! I think the double sessions have helped. I think that switching back and forth between the two kinds of exercise has helped, too. I’d like to test that theory!
I’ve felt the same kind of sudden jump to a higher rate and clarity of thinking that I felt when I first started training. Comprehension, analysis, and quickness of thought have all improved recently. So, too has my ability to assess and manage my emotional well being.
Best regards,
Martin
