I was pretty tired today but still managed to improve my n-back from n=3.2 to n=3.8. The main difference I found was, since I was tired, I found it more difficult to sub in the new values in each sequence. By this I mean, say the sequence of 4 was K, Q, B, M. If the next item is Q I found i had to think about it much longer to change the sequence in my mind, whereas in the past it flowed a lot smoother. I think from now on i’ll train in the morning/afternoon instead of around 10pm.
I also reach n=5 twice today. Both times i found that by the 7th or 8th item i was lost and had to ignore the previous sequence and start over. That was the same for the n=4 when i first tried it so here’s to keeping at it.
