Increasing mean n-back..

Friday, October 17th, 2008

My average n-back increased from 2.8 to 3.13 I think I am on my way to touch some of the highest average n-back scorers. But still I am not able to clear n=4 but I am able to stick at n=3 stage, without going down to n=2 even once.

Does anyone know what is the highest average n-back and what is the highest level anyone has cleared?? I am curious to know that. I want to know to what extent this software has helped people to increase their memory. According to the blogs which I have read here, I think the highest level is 5 and highest mean n-back is also 5.

Since I am also taking the training, regularly,  I am sure even I will reach to the highest level possible, of brain development, but still I would like to know to what extent people have already reached…. and that will act as a milestone for me to achieve.

Back to the first stage..

After reaching to n=4, again I was brought down to n=2…..  I cleared n=3 couple of times but couldn’t cross n=4. I can see the improvement in my performance.

I have read that more we use our brain more it develops. But until using Brain Fitness Pro I hadn’t felt this for myself; I am felling it expanding and becoming stronger.

Initially I’m not able to clear a particular stage but as I keep on taking this training, I improve my performance.

4th Day of Training…

Finally…. I cleared n=3 with only 2 misses and 12 hits and reached n=4. Now I can remember a series of even  4 white blocks and 4 letters, which is a proof of my increased memory power.

Since when I have started taking this Brain Fitness Training, I realized that I have started stressing my mind more than earlier. Stressing not in negative way, it means applying my brains more, on any particular task and that too with increased level of concentration.

Today’s Training Session….

AAhhh…. Still on the first stage. Cleared n=2 with 12 hits and 0 misses, but again failed to clear n=3 and came back to n=2.

Today when i tried to clear n=3, for the first time, got score of 13 misses and 3 hits, my mind went totally blank, wasn’t able to remember even one auditory or visual series but when i trained for n=2 again and again, it helped to lower my misses to 4, and i could actually remember the series of four letters and white blocks.

This exercise definitely stimulates the mind helps in memorizing well, but I think I will take more time than anyone else to cross the higher stages.
