Brain Training Report – Tom G – Stage 1, Session 3

Stage: 1

Session number: 3

Average n-back: 4.35

My original BFI was 147 and dropped to 136. I’m not sure how the BFI is calculated before one even begins… still trying to figure out how this website is laid out. I’m finding the website generally a bit confusing nonetheless, doing the exercises. I completed Stage one in two days. Not sure if that was how I was supposed to do that… Oh well, I keep reading through the site and trying to follow the instructions.

Brain Training Report – yuliya – Stage 3, Session 1

Stage: 3

Session number: 1

Average n-back: 2.35

I liked it. Challenging, but I could feel my brain working out, similar to a muscle “hurting”, which motivated me a great deal. I shall stick with it and post here later. I have a question, however. Is to OK to practice a stage or two before training? Or is it counter-productive? Thank you so much for all your work and this program! I have already recommended you to several of my friends.

Brain Training Report – Jared – Stage 3, Session 6

Thursday, March 29th, 2012

Stage: 3

Session number: 6

Average n-back: 3.6

It’s the beginning of the second week on session number 6 and I managed to jump up to n=5, only to fall all the to n=2 somehow. I think n=5 may have been a shock to my brain causing me to stumble back a bit. n=4 has become easier and n=3 is a cake walk. Though n=4 is still a challenge, I plan on jumping to n=5 a few more times this week. I’m curious as to how it will feel to complete the second week of training since I know that’s when my intelligence should get a boost.

Stage: 3

Session number: 26

Average n-back: 2.2

I’m getting embarrassed and doubting I can do this at all. I have done this forever and bounce between 2-3. I never get to level 3 twice in a row. I struggle with consistency. But I’m at a stand still. I will look in the intro for instructions on how to practice with audio and visual, separately, maybe that will help. Boy, I really don’t get this. I also have never understood the BPA. I started out at 240 and am now 179. Does that mean I’m becoming less intelligent? I didn’t expect that.

Often when I think my n-back answers were bad, it turns out that I answered very accurate and when I think I did very well it turns out to be quite bad, actually. Can someone explain why? Is it normal, did this happen to others too?

Brain Fitness Index Progress

Stage: 3

Session number: 1

Average n-back: 2.1

Hi

I just recently purchased and started Brain Fitness Pro about a week ago. I am somewhat confused about my original and current BFI progress so far. My original BFI when I first started was around 240, but after a week of doing the training exercises I have seen a slight decline now with my current BFI. Im not sure if this is normal but I have read in the HELP section that the original BFI should be somewhere in the range of 80-150.

Any help with this would be great.

Thanks,

Josh
