Working-Memory Training Report – Shawn H – Session 11

Session number: 11

Average n-back: 3.20

Duration (min.): 36

Good Morning All,

I woke up feeling a little out of sorts this morning. Yesterday seemed to be a tough day for some reason. The tension was still with me into the evening and I felt like isolating.

This morning I was hoping that my experience of yesterday wouldn’t transfer to today – and so far – at least concerning the training – it hasn’t.

Training went well this morning. A lot better than yesterday. I didn’t reach a personal best but moved up and felt like my concentration was on.

Mini Goals from yesterday:
RELAX A LITTLE
(I think I achieved this)

don’t let the memory of today affect my training tomorrow.
(I think I achieved this too, for the most part)

stay off n=2
(unfortunately I didn’t achieve this one) However, I did achieve my goal of 0 misses on n=2 throughout.

get at least 1 – zero miss on n=3
(did achieve this – and was excited to do so)

stay on n=4 for at least 2 blocks
(I did this too, but only once – I’ll take it though)

Here’s the run down.

n=3 5 misses
n=3 2 misses
n=4 5 misses
n=4 9 misses (goal)
n=3 4 misses
n=3 3 misses
n=3 0 misses (goal)
n=4 6 misses (was interrupted by the phone – had to cancel and start over)

n=3 6 misses
n=2 0 misses
n=3 6 misses
n=2 0 misses
n=3 2 misses
n=4 9 misses
n=3 5 misses
n=3 2 misses (both auditory)
n=4 10 misses
n=3 2 misses (both auditory)
n=4 7 misses
n=3 2 misses (both auditory)

I was happy with my consistency on n=3 near the end. n=4s were too tough for me this morning but at least n=3 is improving.

Hope you all have a joyous weekend.

Peace, Shawn
