Session number: 2
Average n-back: 4.20
Duration (min.): 2 hours
Session at night while lots of people were in the house. A few distractions meant a couple of long breaks.
Otherwise sat on N=4 for the whole session except for dropping to 3 once and about 4 blocks on N=5. I bombed on 5. Got a perfect score on one round of n=4 which seemed odd because I only felt like i was half in control for the second half. Must have gotten lucky.
Martin: A couple of questions. You and Shaun and Will show what n was for each block and the no. of misses.
Is there a way to get the information from the program or do you write that out yourself between sessions? I can’t find it saved anywhere. If it’s not a feature, perhaps it would be worth adding in the future. I also find the graph a little difficult to read that shows past scores.
The only quirk i’ve found in the mac client is when I have display keystrokes turned on, if I press A or L quite quickly after the block/letter occurs, it flashes up for a second then disappears rather than staying until the next one appears like it usually does. A little confusing because I was unsure whether it was registering my keystroke. I think it does, but that’s something possibly worth fixing.
Otherwise all good.

Hi Scott.
Solid run. Well done.
The number of misses and n level for each block isn’t available to the user at the moment. We record it ourselves as we go along. I agree that this will be a good feature to add in an upgrade. I’m also hoping to make the blog posting more automated to reduce the hurdle of that task.
Thanks, too, for the feedback on the keystroke display. (I personally don’t use the keystroke display, finding it distracting, and having gained confidence that what I press is what I get…)
