Working-Memory Training Report – Min – Session 45

Session number: 3

Average n-back: 3.5

Duration (min.): 30

Hi Everyone,

I have just completed my 45th day of brain fitness pro and I want to report some results. These results had nothing to do with the main reason I began the training. I began training to help with difficulties I was having with study. Whilst these are improving in all sorts of ways, which is GREAT, I am very excited about these other results which I hadn’t even factored in.

I have been suffering from insomnia for 12 years, and I have tried so many methods and treatments, which didn’t work…but now I am very pleased to report that about 3 weeks ago, I began to sleep, a proper night’s sleep, fragile at first easily disrupted but growing in strength each day!! That began about one month into the training.

The other thing is my concentration in meditation, and capacity to drop into very deep states and whilst being consciousness has improved enormously. I have been meditating every day for approximately 29 years. Sleep and meditation are both very important to me, and therefore create the basic context in my life, out of which everything else grows. Since brain fitness pro, everything is becoming more and more enhanced. Thank you SO much. To be continued……

    Hello, Min.

This is fantastic. Thanks for much for posting about your experience with the training.

It’s the first time that I’ve heard about an impact on insomnia. The training helps so many people in so many different ways that I could never have imagined.

    Hi Martin,

Thanks for your reply. Just to clarify…is a session a group of 19 1/2 hour blocks? And is it right to call each i/2 hour training a block? Or is it the other way round or something else?

    Cheers, Min

    Hello, Min.

Here is the terminology we’ve adopted:

A training block is one training sequence – 20+n items in length (about 1 minute)

A training session is 20 training blocks – (about twenty-five to thirty minutes)

A training period is 19 training sessions.

So, you’re in your third training period and have completed 45 sessions.

    Hope that clears it up!
    Martin
