Ok Martin – it is beyond my current awareness how in the world you/one can track n backs of 9….I do not get it. I can not imagine you try to memorize it….I know my brain has been soggy from the what ever past events of my brain…but tell me – it is not memorization of past presentations…it must be letting go and opening to awareness that lets you/one do this…it has to be a Zen thing.
Hi Nanz.
It’s actually a bit of a combination of the two, and I think others would say the same. I do try to remember the sequences. I make it easier for myself by “chunking” them, or breaking them up into smaller pieces. So eight becomes five and three, nine becomes five and four. If I’m really focused I can do this for the first part of the block. But usually by the middle of the block I’m going more on Zen mode.
When I started the training last June I couldn’t have imagined getting this far with it. It’s quite amazing what the brain can do.
